This Week

Its finally the weekend and I finally have time to update the blog! The past week flew by! Here are a few things that happened this week.

1. Monday I got 100 percent on the multiple choice section of my anatomy test!
2. Jaren and I watched Oceans Eleven.
3. I got to go help dissect cadavers at school with Kiley. It was so cool, but don't tell Jaren any details. He might throw up.
4. We had pizza night on Friday and invited a couple from our ward. We played battle of the sexes. I think the boys won for the first time ever!
5. At pizza night, we made cookies AND Muddy Buddies... bad idea. I think everyone had stomach aches by the end. Did the leftovers last long? Nope.
6. Jaren and I took pictures yesterday. We found a mouse.

7. Kiley and I went shopping last night. I found a cute shirt but I don't think Jaren liked in very much. :) haha Silence is never good when you ask your husband if he likes something.
8. Jaren almost killed our computer yesterday. He was leaning on the computer desk and knocked the whole thing backwards into the wall. The monitor fell to the ground, but don't worry it lives.
9. Jaren is changing clients at his work in the next couple of weeks and is lucky because he still gets to go to the hot tub once a week. Can I have that job for a couple days?
10. My cousin had a baby and my best friend got a boyfriend. What a fun week!

Night to Myself

We had a fun night with Jaren's family tonight. Jeri Dell and Jay are up from St. George, so we all went out to dinner at Cafe Sabor. All the boys headed out to an Aggie basketball game, and I found myself with a night all to myself. How did I spend it? Wasting time on the internet and Photoshop of course! I listened to "Tomb" by Allred about 5 times. . . If you haven't heard it, you should. It is a pretty song.

Yesterday we had pizza night with Kiley and Kennan and Kennan's sister Shae and friend. This friend turned out to be an acquaintance from high school, which was fun. We made TONS of pizza and then had peanutbutter cookie p'zookies.

Kiley texted me today because she had seen a rooster poking its head out of the window as she was driving... :)

I successfully named all 18 movements of the joints in the body today while studying with Kiley. I should be studying because we have a test monday, but I think I will sleep instead. At least tonight anyway.

I forgot how much fun little Marin, Kate, and Spencer are. (Ok, the parents are fun too!) We all need to do stuff more often!

Here are the products of my night alone... I'm getting tired.

This is the original... Then Edited a few ways

Then one of Kate. She is so cute.

Photoshop fun :)

I just want to say I love Photoshop and our new camera. I have been playing with Photoshop lately and have been figuring out how to make some cool stuff. Look! I know they all look similar, but I thought they were pretty cool.

Oh, and we had a fun Valentine's day eve yesterday. We got to sleep in! Jaren gave me some gerber dasies and some Reese's. I gave him a bag of Snickers and a tye-dye t-shirt kit. I hope it wasn't too lame, but I thought making t-shirts would be fun. I'm sure he wanted to share my Reese's, so really we both were happy. :) We went out to dinner with Kiley and Kennan and then went shopping at the mall. Jaren and Kennan looked at videogames while Kiley and I went into American Eagle to "check out the clearance section."

Well, we never quite made it. A male sales associate walked up to us to welcome us into the store and promptly began piling clothes into our arms to try on. We soon had a myriad (for real, there was so much!) of skinny jeans, tube tops, t-shirts, and cardigans (not sweaters) to try on. Kiley and I were amazed at how fun it was to have someone else pick out clothes for us and give us fashion advice. It was only a little strange coming from a guy, who may have been a little feminine, but he was very good at his job. I found myself in white skinny jeans despite my aversion to them due to my knock knees. Upon seeing me in them, he promptly grabbed some dark skinny jeans and agreed that the white ones accentuated my awkward knees, "but he LOVED the color..."

After about an hour, we finally got through them all. I ended up buying a dark blue cardigan that I LOVE! I have wanted one for so long. Jaren saved me from buying a cute cute dress that I probably wouldn't have worn. But it was so cute! Oh well, that means I can buy something else right?

We had to run to let Kiley buy a necklace before the mall closed, and then went to Hastings to rent a movie. We got "The Invention of Lying". I was a little worried at first, but it was pretty funny. We ate lots of Snickers and Reese's and cookie dough. Jaren said "Wow... mexican food, Reese's, Snickers, and cookie dough don't go well together..." about half way through the movie and we all laughed because we were all feeling the same way.

We slept in again this morning, and I only woke up once in a panic that we had slept through the alarm and I was late. I realized it was Sunday and was so pleased! I love Sundays.

I found myself with a little free time as Callie was doing some homework so I took some pictures of some puddles outside our apartment door. The water was dripping off of our rooftop. It was fun! Before and after Pictures

Then Callie and I found both ourselves with some free time and took these!

Happy Superbowl Sunday!

I have decided that blogs are mostly for people who have children. Everyone else's blog is full of fun things their kids have said or done. Too bad we don't have children. You'll just have to hear about our boring life anyway.

Spring semester started January 11th. Jaren is taking Math, Economics, Political Science, ... and a couple other classes. I am taking some Health Classes, Anatomy, and some glorified PE classes for my minor. So far the semester has been super busy, but we only have 3 months left!

I am now twenty! My birthday was January 29th. I woke up for school and while I was getting ready I could smell pancakes cooking in the kitchen. A couple minutes later, Jaren called me in to eat them. The air was slightly hazy, and Jaren's goofy smile hinted that something was up. I looked at the pancakes which were very thick and a little darker than normal. Jaren said, "I think I added too much sugar and the sugar burnt..." I han't heard of adding sugar to pancakes, so it must be a Sandberg thing. ;) Even though the pancakes were a little blackened, they still tasted good with lots of syrup. We headed out to school, which turned out to be a disaster. Anatomy was fine, but then I had an exercise lab. Long story short, I pulled a muscle and ended up crying. Haha. Too bad I'm not very tough. That night Jaren, Kiley, Kennan, Kaitlyn, Avree, Matt, Cara, Mitch, and I went to Olive Garden for dinner. Afterwards, Avree had us over for cake and ice cream.

Kiley, Kennan, and Kaitlyn went with us to Avree's. I was telling Marin that Kiley and Kaitlyn were my sisters... and that we weren't sure who Kennan was... He just got in our car and came with us. When we told her that all the sudden she was making this horrified face, frowning with all her teeth showing... Haha We thought she was going to cry so we hurried to tell her Kennan wasn't a stranger. Sorry if she had nightmares Cara!

The next day we went over to Brigham for p'zookies, Ice Cream, and presents at my mom's house. We also watched the Simpson Movie. SO funny... This weekend was my brother and sisters birthdays so we have had plenty of food and cake and ice cream. As soon as the game starts I think it may be ice cream time again.

The other night I was looking through one of my journals and I had written down some of the funny things Jaren has said. Here is one Jaren was pretty proud of and with Valentines Day coming up, I thought it was appropriate.

"Love is in the air. . . and we're choking on it."

Gotta love those romantic husbands!
Happy Sperbowl Sunday. I think its ice cream time!

Family Tribute

My friend came over and was looking up meanings of names and I thought it would be fun to look up some to see what they were. Here's my list.
Jaren: Asian loving, Meatloaf scarfing, Woman beating, BABY.

... yep sounds about right...

Callie: amazing, cool, funny, great, fun times, hilarious, silly, cute, nice, sweet, unique, great to hang out with.
In many cases, there are more words to describe... but you get the idea.

.... Definitely right...

Avree: ... Sorry there was no definitions for your name... But I'm sure if there were it would include "awesome cook" or does awesome dances in front of our new camera in St. George or something cool like that.

Cara: So there were a couple. Here are two of them.

1. Fine as heck (yes this blog is censored) , got curves in all the right places and from a 1 to 10 is a certified 20.
2. The most beautiful human being on this planet. her smile, her eyes, her body, her personality, everything is perfect on her. she makes life worth living. she can bring you love even with only her personality.

... dang. Cara is pretty cool...

Jeri: person of greatness; beautiful woman with a great sense of humor. Loves her family, friends, and pets. Person of integrity. Very honest and trustworthy. She will be a great friend to you...
... VERY applicable, except maybe the pets part? Did you love your dog Jeri?...Carol (far left in picture): well... here we hit two ends of the spectrum...

1. a hot, irresistable female with a big heart
2.A short, Italian preacher girl with a bum knee.

... Haha. Take your pick....
Kiley: A beautiful, nice person. But if you make her mad, watch out. Close to perfect. Caring and unselfish. OR The Better Way of spelling "Kylie"

.... Very Very true... :)

Jay: usually a big strong man most likely an MMA fighter or football player. He is that friend that would stand up and fight for his best friends or girlfriends. Most likely your favorite friend to hang out with. your favorite friend to party with.

.... Maybe I should start watching MMA! :) ....Kennan: a Kennan is a fly girl with the best legs you've ever seen. a mega cool girl who all the boys want. she usually wears unacceptably short skirts/shorts/dresses and shows A LOT of cleavage and gets away with it, mostly because she accomplishes that without looking slutty. because a Kennan is someone who is beautiful and intelligent, yet mad fresh.

............................ well.... that is interesting... haha maybe this one is a little closer.

a Kennan is crazy, insane, and mad outrageous. but in a good way.
.... yep. much better. haha

Matt: An extremely good looking male, otherwise known as a Sexy Beast. Throughout history, Matts have been known to be an exceptional specimen of the human male. The 'Matt' are often popular due to their social adeptness.

............ haha..............
Mitch: One of the coolest, if not the coolest human-created names to ever grace this planet. Almost every single person with this Godly-gift of a name has pure awesomness coursing through their blood.

........... wow. enough said. . . . .

Who knew I had such a cool family? Love you all!
